Dr. Taylor plans to admit a student next year.

Summary of Research and Teaching Interests:

My research program focuses on the study of interactions between sleep and sleep disorders with other physical and mental health disorders. In particular, we have been working on prospective epidemiological studies of the effect of sleep and sleep disturbance on physical and mental health function, as well as daytime functioning in such domains as academic performance, relationship discord, etc. In addition, we have been actively investigating the effectiveness of treating insomnia, comorbid with other disorders (e.g., depression, sleep apnea), with behavioral and cognitive interventions. One of the major goals in my career is to train more practitioners in Behavioral Sleep Medicine.

I currently supervise students in our clinical practicum, with an emphasis on behavioral and cognitive interventions, and teach a behavioral sleep medicine course. I also supervise students in their research projects (i.e., Honors Theses, Theses and Dissertations).
