Evidence-based Training and Competencies Research Lab

I am planning to admit for the fall of 2010, but am seeking to work with a specific type of student: the successful applicant will want to conduct research focusing on improving outcomes among clients seeking psychological services. Such research is not disorder specific (because the goal is to reach all clients, not just those presenting with a particular disorder or problem) and therefore focuses predominantly on improving clinician competencies and/or clinic procedures. Students interested in psychotherapy research are therefore especially well-suited to my lab at this time. If you would like to learn more about recent student-involved research in the lab, you can read more here.

Students in the lab have a range of career goals. However, all students clearly identify with a scientist-practitioner orientation and are expected to excel. As can be seen below, I have been very fortunate to work with some outstanding students.
